Privacy Policy — One Word Out

Last updated: 23 August 2026

The short version

One Word Out collects nothing. There is no account, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Nothing you type ever leaves your phone.

What is stored, and where

Everything the app remembers is stored only on your device, using your phone's own app storage:

None of it is transmitted anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of it.

Network use

The app plays entirely offline. It makes exactly one kind of network request: on launch it may check a public content file for updated word lists, so new words and translations can be added without an app update.

That request sends no personal data — no identifiers, no player names, no settings. It is an ordinary request for a public file. If it fails, or you are offline, the app carries on with the words it shipped with.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.

Permissions

The app requests no device permissions. It does not access your contacts, camera, microphone, photos, location or files.

Third parties

There are no third-party SDKs for advertising, analytics or attribution. No data is shared with anyone, because none is collected.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new date.
